Tab Trade - What It Is
TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It means the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker this new, that coverage is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is offered for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That will make the platform set once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
This is the detail that requires honesty. The broker is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. But be part of your decision.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
